They didn't even seem to see the vehicle in the first place. Poor guy in the street starts running from the impending collision and then also barely escapes being hit by the swerving truck! Good thing no other unaware drivers were speeding up at that moment.
It's a good time to get those flares out from the emerge kit.
Kinetic energy is funny: just merely tapping that guy would've launched him to the side -- to bounce off the guardrail out of the way of the truck and not falling over the side if he was lucky.
