Niantic lays off 230 employees, cancels NBA and Marvel games

Pokémon GO-maker Niantic laid off 230 employees today, just one year after it laid off around 90 employees.

I hope they crash and burn. I'll never forgive them for what they did to Ingress.
Always sucks to hear of people losing their jobs. I can’t believe this company got as big as it did! Feels like how guitar hero etc. came and went. At the advent, absolute obsession and everyone had to have it! On the way out, shitty plastic guitars in thrift stores for $2. At least here it’s just deleted/neglected mobile apps and not plastic waste
