Hypothetically speaking is there a way to entice an octopus to crawl into one’s ass?

Are we sure that "Octopodae" is the correct spelling for the order? Wikipedia has it as "Octopoda"., but also lists that animal orders should end in "-idae".
- I think ae and a are both acceptable in greek and are used in different places.
