I feel this is louis rossmann IRL
My entire "smart" home is either extremely simple switches without any network connection or completely self built (snd semi dysfunctional) devices running exclusively open source software (also semi dysfunctional).
The commercial solutions are also semi-dysfunctional, so that's a win.
My room mates are hyper "smart device" people, and I just keep remembering that SHODAN exists.
