Can a community have 0 mods?
I dont know if this is bugged or there are actually no mods but !writingprompts@lemmy.ml shows 0 mods.
So I was wondering, can it have 0 mods? If so, what happens now does it get deleted in any way or given to someone in the meantime to moderate? Or are these instances mostly left alone to rot?
You can try reaching out to the instance admin to ask if you can be a mod for that community.
Can you be a mod from a different instance or do you need to create an account there? (Also thanks for answering)
You can mod for another instance. I've tested creating a community then promoting an account from another instance as a mod. You'll need to make a post in the community before you can be promoted as mod.
Yes, you can - I do it by having my home instance as wayfarershaven.eu and being a mod for !asklemmy@lemmy.ml on Lemmy.ml
