This schmuck is the enlightened centrist for voters who think Biden isn't moderate enough. He's going to be funding his campaign in rubles.
- Why.... Do you think this? He was my rep for years. I have spoken with him several times about Internet privacy, police reform, union protections, climate change, abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights, lots of other things. He literally called constituents who reached out to him and talked with me each time.
  He speaks and votes progressively, generally speaking. Where's this centrist Russian influence accusation coming from?
  
  Because he's running at Biden, a centrist himself, from the "middle". He has zero support from the party or local donors, many of whom have asked for their donations back, and yet he suspiciously has plenty of money.
  
  Progressive Punch ranks him the #165 on the list of House members ranked by their progressive scorecard. (Democrats only hold 213 seats). His caucus memberships are with the "New Democrats Coalition" which is 3rd way center right, and "Problem Solvers Caucus" which a pseudo-centrist offshoot of the "No labels" organization. He's definitely no progressive.
- Minnesotan here, while in some areas we’re doing well, our infrastructure isn’t great. Its gotten better after the bridge incident at least.
  Compared to other states I’ve lived in (California, Illinois, Alabama, Arizona, Iowa), Minnesota is probably the best. That being said, please don’t move here. Housing is already too expensive and you wont like the cold.
He's better than that anti- vax loser Kennedy. I'm fine with challenging incumbents, it's just the dnc will never allow a fair primary and I'd rather not let Trump's job made easier for him. Need to abolish the EC badly.
- I think the idea that contested primaries are bad is an artifact of a bygone era. Biden's primary was way more contested than Hillary's, and Trump's primary all but broke out in fist fights. In every case, a tougher primary led to better than anticipated performance in the general.
  How many things has Trump done that once would have absolutely destroyed a candidate? This isn't the 90s anymore. Times have changed, and the Democratic playbook hasn't.
  
  Yo, Biden has ran as an incumbent yet. As far as I know there hasn't been any dem debates. Meanwhile the orange turd didn't bother showing up to his lol.
Coming in from the Washington DC area - I've never heard of this representative before, and we get tons of national political news here. Coming in without name recognition is a tough row to hoe.
