if you're having trouble using shreddit lmk; ended up getting it running pretty easily

- I always mention that spez moderated the jailbait subreddit instead of saying fuck spez.

Nice. My only suggestion is to check whether the data is actually gone in a week or so.. Mine got undeleted multiple times, not all at once, post by post, day by day... Now I've edited coments instead. That shit must be gross violation of GDPR. Fuck /u/Spez
- Yeah that's why I had the script set to edit first then delete

When I get around to doing this I’m going to use a list of random quotes. Reddit is shadow banning comments that say fuck spez.

  I’m a software engineer by trade so adapting this was trivial
  
  Shreddit is great. Have been using it in docker for ages to periodically remove comments that are older than a certain amount of time.
  
  What did you have to adapt, though?
- I'm using Redact, it worked pretty well!
How does this work? Is it a python script that runs on a local machine?

We can only hope Spez sits on rusty forks everytime he sits down.
Glad I'm not the only one who made such a script

Mine said "so long and thanks for all the fish" but was pretty amateurish and who knows if you can even run it for free anymore
do you get in trouble with rate limiting? I don't use reddit myself, just curious.
- I built in some 2 second sleeps because the OG shreddit script hit rate limits easily
why have it delete tho?
- So it can't be used as an engagement metric. They'll still fees it into data models and whatnot
