Where I grew up, non-commercial radio stations weren't all to the "left of the dial". There were some that broadcast in the 100MHz and above frequencies. This meant that one fateful day, while tuning my radio, I came across a station called 3PBS 106.7. They had a late night show dedicated to New Zealand indie/alternative music…pretty niche.

To cut the story short, I think I taped the show onto a cassette and this track was one of a few that really caught my fancy. Snapper were from Dunedin and this track, from their first EP, was unlike anything that I had ever heard.
