The process of net metering would allow Michigan residents to be paid for excess energy collected by solar panels.

Would have been great to get in on solar early enough that you were grandfathered into the new system with net metering. Hopefully this is added back and soon, without it I don't see residential solar taking off.

Most people stay in their home an average of 7 years. Not really feasible to wait for a 25 year payback.
