Risk of Rain Returns has done the impossible: make one of the greatest roguelikes of the past 10 years a lot better

Really enjoyed both first and second. Might check out this one if they managed to make it better then the first.
- It's a significant improvement upon the first game. Update art, improved mechanics, better online multiplayer support and some new content. If you loved the first, you'll love RORR.
- Its what I was hoping in 2, in that its a straight upgrade of 1.
- It wouldn't even remotely resemble the first game if it's wasn't 2D. If you want 3D Risk of Rain then there's Risk of Rain 2.
- I was kind of hoping for that as well. But I guess it would be less a remaster, more a remake in that sense.
  I don't really think Risk of Rain Returns is a remake just looking at it. It's still 2D after all.
- What were you expecting? This is for those that found RoR2 3D to be underwhelming (in that, for me it's really overwhelming to play). RoRR brought all the features I liked in concept and applied it to the format I loved: pixel art 2D.
I like the game but I'm so bad at it :| it's a noticeable increase of difficulty from RoR2
