what’s a nix folder for?
- It's for the Nix package manager.
  
  Does this mean they switch to NixOs?
  
  I was under the Impression that SteamOs was an arch distro turned immutable.
- Based on the link it appears to be for a package manager. Possibly preparing for supporting additional user packages outside of flatpak?
