What light novel(s) have you read this week, and what do you think about it? [October 23. - October 29.]

Reincarnated as a Sword Vol. 13 - I’m starting to get tired of this series. The fights are so needlessly long and dragging. I started to just skim and skip pages ahead… uh still fighting, okay skip a couple more pages… - 3/10

A Tale of the Secret Saint Vol. 4 - I completely forgot that I had already read 3 volumes of that series. I picked up volume 4 again and, by God, that MC is another daft one. It's very well possible that I dropped the series and repressed all memories about it. ... Yeah, nah, dropped it again during the first chapter. REmind me next time if I ever want to pick it up again.

8th Loop for the Win! Vol. 1 - Ugh.. One of those meek but overpowered MCs with a defeatist mindset. "Oh, sorry, I-I mean I might have defeated that overpowered enemy but there is no way I could be strong enough to s-s-s-stand up for my own, I'm just so lowly". You know, that type of protagonist. At least the sidekick is aware of this and is actively trying to make MC realize that he is OP and that he has to get rid of this defeatist mindset. But MC is just too dense to get it into his head, even after defeating everything that has any kind of power left and right, which makes him come off like an even bigger idiot. There is also stupid, unnecessary, and extremely contrived fan service that got forced into the story like a removed toddler trying to force a square peg into a round hole. - 3/10
