Is that really worth it if in winter sun wont be up till 11 during the weeks that are scientifically known to already cause a depressive mood? (Blue monday)
EDIT; blue monday is apparently labeled pseudo science, still i much prefer a dark summer night with garden lights over waking up what is essentially the middle of the natural night during the colder months.
Here's the thing. In the US if your state wants to stop changing their clocks, the can do so right now. Arizona and Hawaii are already not changing their clocks. The problem is the people that want permanent DST. That takes an act of congress.
My suggestion. Get the legislators to stop with the clock changing bullshit, then get the employers to shift the working hours so people can have their extra daylight in the summer.
That poll really wasn't representative. Very few people even realised that it was happening or how to find it. If I remember correctly it was more of a German domestic political happening that somehow got elevated to EU level.
EU figured that they'd need to leave it up to the individual states to decide.
I think most people still want to stop changing time, but they don't necessarily agree on whether to keep normal time or daylight savings time.
Everyone is waiting for everyone else to set the new standar because no one wants wildly different time zones in Europe.
