The Black and White Owl

This is the most original name they could come up with this guy...

Scientific name isn't any better. Strix nigrolineata just means owl with black lines.

Zebra Owl, Newsprint Owl, Bandit Owl, Masked Owl

What name would you have given this owl?

  I'm glad you like it. I try to get a good mix of owls in here. I'm almost done the primarily US based owls, but even so I try to get ones from all over the world.
  Antarctica is the only place without owls. Everywhere else, from the middle of nowhere to the biggest cities have owls tucked away somewhere!
- I love the bold contrasting colors. It really makes them all pop. With the sleeker head shape and the orange beak and feet, it does kinda resemble a parrot. I think that bright beak makes it look longer than in most other owls too.
  It's so much fun discovering all these neat birds I never would have heard of otherwise.
