Microsoft might just be planning to make the next generation of Windows a cloud-based, subscription service. While we have already had evidence of the former, fresh new leak hints at the latter too.

4 0 ReplyI'm assuming it'll be for it's ai features or certain parts of the os which can be unlocked for a fee not the entire OS.
All we have are some INI files which suggest subscription status will be tracked
Still hate it personally, but I cannot see them being dumb enough to gate the entire OS behind a paywall so quickly
