In order to minimize the effects of anthropogenic climate change and to build a greener, more sustainable future, we need more than just personal forms of transportation to become electric: we need electrification of all vehicle fleets.

In Vancouver, British Columbia, BC Emergency Health Services has taken that task on head on, developing alternatives to gasoline-powered medical response vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances, especially when a significant number of calls to 911 don't require patient transportation.

And at Fully Charged Live in Vancouver two weeks ago, Kate was able to talk to José Font, Senior Business Analyst, for Logistics and Transportation Operations at BC Emergency Health Services about both the agency's all-electric ambulance car and their fleet of cycle paramedics.
