I remember when Meta first introduced its Metaverse, everyone ridiculed their rendering and rightfully so because it was just crap:
Fast forward a year later, we now have an interview of Zuck by Lex Fridman inside the Metaverse and holy cow it looks realistic as fuck:
Didn't we agree as a species the metaverse wasn't going to happen
Looks like Zuck is still doubling down on it despite almost everyone else still not seeing how it can be profitable and their Horizon Worlds seems to be a flop: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-66913551
Still, assuming the interview above isn't fake and that the rendering was really done in the Metaverse, they've come quite a long way from their initial SimCity-like graphics.
