Immigrant children probably never have to deal with the embarassment of accidentally called their teacher "mom"/"dad" because of the difference in language.

My brain literally compartmentalize languages in different sections of the brain. The English words "mom" and "dad" has never been be used to address my parents, only be used in reference. And in school, my other language never gets activated so... I never has that sort of slip up lols.

I never even knew this was a thing until I read about this online. I don't remember any of my classmates ever doing that either. Maybe its a rare thing lol.
