October is DA awareness month... abuse disproportionately effects the LGBT community
Remember, if a couple appears to be straight cis, one or both could be LGBT.
LGBT people are less likely to reach out for LGBT support and they're less likely to have a good experience when they do
There's a pretty sophisticated underground network of "married" LGBT people here. Well, of the LG side of it at any rate.
Two queer couples, one each of men and women, will "marry" so that each man is "married" to one of the women. They purchase apartments that are adjacent and are "such good friends" that they're constantly visiting each other and it's like one family in two apartments.
And of course at night the women sleep with their wives and the men sleep with their husbands.
I'm not surprised. Is it a bit "don't ask don't tell"?
