More than 16,000 trees planted in Wye catchment

More than 16,000 trees were planted across the Wye catchment in a successful project by Radnorshire Wildlife Trust (RWT) during the 2024–2025 tree planting season.
The initiative was made possible by a partnership with The Woodland Trust, who provided the trees, and support from local nurseries and farmers who contributed surplus native seed stock.
A variety of planting regimes were adopted, including the creation of hedgerows, riparian corridors, ancient woodland restoration areas, shelter belts, ffridd restoration zones, wood pastures, and new woodland projects.
