Although nothing is confirmed, it’s worth mentioning that Ford filed a trademark with the USPTO last month under the name “Ranchero,” which the company promoted as “More than a Car, More than a Truck” in the ’60s and ’70s. Will the Ranchero make a comeback as an electric pickup with a coupe-like design? We will find out soon.
I would love to see the return of car-trucks.

  They’re barely hanging on, even there. I’ve always felt they were the perfect compromise on all the inner-city truck uses.
- They better come with beaver panels
- One of my co-workers is very fond of his Kei truck.
I own a lightning, and the size of the thing is my only complaint.
- Even the Ranger is pretty big. A BEV Maverick would be cool, though.
Ford lagging GM here on the universal platform. Every GM EV is on their Ultium modular platform now
