The case doesn’t sound constructed at all.

- It's a strawman argument yes, but it is soon to not be the case because of changes to sideloading on the android side.
  
  That is true, but rooted devices, non-certfied android devices, and adb still allows users to sideload without restriction though the direction is concerning.

The EU has plenty of talent and ideas. (ESA? RasPi? ARM?) It needs to liberate its people from dependence on US corps and create its own net economy, infrastructure and great sites.
