Well you can't frame it that way. Better like, "Through careful and strategic systems analysis, I identified ten separate operational policies that were outdated and was instrumental in bringing about the necessary changes for management."

I broke my shoulder once riding my unicycle in the hallway at work. My boss then issued a rule banning unicycle riding in the hallway at work, while very reasonably stating that it was ridiculous that he even had to do that.
