I am all for it, but find that religion to be very wasterful of textile:
The wiki won't tell you that it's just another religious lie, with no foundation in reality at all. Just another weird death cult that has no place in modern society.
I could go on all day about the fucked up nature of this religion in particular, but let's just go with "Giant death pits that vultures eat the bodies of your loved ones". Yep. Part of the religion.
All religions are fucking crazy. Stay away from all of them.
“Giant death pits that vultures eat the bodies of your loved ones”
That sounds metal af... Are the loved ones already dead when thrown into said death pits?
It's an alternative approach to handling remains of the dead. It's just how that culture does it. Flesh is cut in some particular way but helps the scavenger birds more thoroughly clean the remains. They call it "sky burial."
as for metal: 😁🙂
The yazatas Airyaman and Atar will melt the metal in the hills and mountains, and the molten metal will then flow across the earth like a river. All mankind—both the living and the resurrected dead—will be required to wade through that river, but for the righteous (ashavan) it will seem to be a river of warm milk, while the wicked will be burned. The river will then flow down to hell, where it will annihilate Angra Mainyu and the last vestiges of wickedness in the universe. In later Zoroastrian texts, it is written that the molten metal will purify the wicked.[3]
You seem to have woken up today and chosen violence.
It is a religion, of course it doesn't have foundation in reality or it wouldn't be a religion but history or science.
Believing that your religion IS the fundamental truth of reality is the whole point of faith and why it's not called fact.
Probably the greenest way to have your remains disposed of, honestly. Burial at sea is probably similarly eco-friendly.
Paying thousands of {{currency}} for bullshit embalming chemicals, expensive metal or stone containers, thousands of cubic meters of gas for cremation, etc, all ultimately a pointless waste
A big source of inspiration for the Judeo-Christian god and Jesus if I recall correctly from my studies.
