Yeah, but you can post truly based opinions on Lemmy without being banned. Such as:
Charlie Kirk deserved it.
That'd get you banned on Reddit.
- Interesting. My political side is far from that of Charlie Kirk and still think that nobody deserves to be punished without a trial, let alone be murdered. Otherwise I fail to spot the difference between two different sides of hate.

  I've been banned from various areas. I told an instance owner off because he truly deserved it. Banned. I wasn't surprised. I was insta-banned from the Squared Circle community for pointing out the facts supported by data that the AEW program is suffering a documented ratings decline.
You need to appreciate what you have, ideal people do not exist, and if they do, you need to look for them carefully, because they do not show themselves.
The only thing that has enabled me to remain sane on this platform is the block functionality.
I have a policy, and I'm not being exaggeratory, that I block at least one person and one community per day.
This place is just like any other, a slice of humanity piled in a heap.

I also like that there's a little less stuff on here, it's easy to spend less time on my phone. No need for endless shit. Occasional crap is enough.

I've not been here this long, but coming here from reddit was like moving from a stadium full of screaming maniacs attacking each other to a nice warm pub with like 5 to 13 quiet maniacs having a nice drink.

Yeah, no one ever said anything on my reddit posts. The moment people replyed to the same exact posts on reddit I switched and deleted my reddit account.
