    Today is always a special shave where u/onionmiasma and u/ktturtlesue bring us together to bring something special out of what must be a hard day for them both. 

    It's amazing to see how the day has grown and how vendor sub members like u/rocketk455 have joined in with a scent that is fresh and bright on a cold autumnal eve. (Full disclosure I shave in the evening so this was done the night before the 12th but late enough that it was the 12th somewhere).

    Anyway. To make the shave special I decided that today was a day to have with friends and id like to think onion and turtle are friends. Not good enough friends to fly me out to the US to be with them and have a shave trip like u/priusaurus though. Maybe they see me more as an acquaintance. Or just someone who has a load of soap stored at their house. Or maybe just a Cadbury s mule. Maybe the fact that I'm not an artisan like rocket and Prius makes me just a nobody.

    I am a shit poster. And I AM AN ARTISAN. I have designed, prototyped and built a razor. (Please be my friend u/onionmiasma)

    I am somebody and I can shave with my friends.

    So last night (late enough for it to be the 12th for Asia based sub members)  I shaved with 

    • u/ktturtlesue or at least a toy turtle that came with a Moana doll that eventually lost one arm and got called onearma for the rest of the time we had it. 
    •  u/onionmiasma or at least an onion with a treet blade stuck in it. It sucked and mainly cut me on the first pass so I threw it away. Sorry onion
    • u/djundjila, u/j33pguy13 and u/merikus. No I didn't  use GUTL but those guys made MOAR so they're good by me and where there as a result
    • u/raymoonie and u/thestallionpartthree. Good pod boys hope the curse doesn't get you 
    • u/hairykopite - via the 1914 (Best vintage gem)  he sent me which fixed the second and third passes

    And that's what this is all about. You're not alone. (Especially if you start making black sea glass brushes) we're here for each other through thick and thin. In shit posts and seriousness.

    This is a very nice base with a wonderful scent. Well done Summer Break Soaps. The lather built quickly. The smush made plenty of lather. It was a comfortable shave and the alum block gave me an A.

    Tub kill!

    This worked great as a luxury shave, because I really only had enough good lather for a couple of passes, and that's all I wanted to do tonight.

    I planned on finishing this tub this morning before I was reminded about the Shave Against Suicide. So, luxury shave it is.

    I got a tub of Catie's Bubbles 322 in the mail today, so balance is maintained. One in, one out.

    Wonderful "Shave Against Suicide" today. This was my first use of Kyle's Steady trifecta. I was surprised by the scent. Very interesting, and very enjoyable.
