Russia turned to China and said, "Russia and China fought in The Second World War, we won the Second World War, we defeated Nazism," and I thought, "Okay, this is something new." If you know the history, it raises a lot of questions.

It's more like the Nazis fought Russia. They had a deal to carve-up Poland but then the Nazis (as Nazis do) reneged on that deal.

Stalin offered Europe help to fight the Nazis. But Europe refused.
The position of Truman most exemplifies the West during WW2:

The ignorance level is off the charts. Hate to do a gorgewellism but the west really did memory hole the anti-fascist and decolonial struggles of the entire last 100 years for its own population.
