When eating bucatini I find I can't slurp the noodles like with spaghetti or fettuccine. The noodles are just a little too big and two or more noodles together allow an air-gap that causes suction loss.
I realize it's impolite to slurp your pasta. Still...Not my favorite noodle.
Depends on what country you're in. I believe that in Japan it is extremely polite to slurp anything.
Oh hell yeah, I love slurping my noodles and/or soup even more when eating the appropriate cuisine.
