Poor support
Poor support
I’ve used Reddit for 4+ years and trusted this platform, but now I’m completely locked out of my account.
Password resets succeed but login still fails.
Google login shows “Invalid credentials.”
Login links just say “Something went wrong.”
10+ support tickets = nothing but useless automated bot replies.
No human help, no security, no accountability. All my time, posts, and data are just wasted because of Reddit’s broken system.
This is how @Reddit_Support treats long-time users. Absolutely shameful.
It is. But wait until Lemmy reaches the same level, it's just a matter of time. Any platform will end like this if it gets too large.
I mean, Lemmy security is decentralized. Support is crowd-sourced. There is no bot to help because there's nobody running a support team to try to build a bot.
That's not a bad thing. It is what it is. But Lemmy will never get to the same place because it isn't on the same trajectory.
It's decentralized for now. There is no guarantee it will stay this way forever.
Yeah I agree, now I just feel to just create disposable accounts and just browse and if something goes wrong, simply create a new one, rather having a long term commitment and acquiring data(subreddits and saved posed). It's not stable platform like Meta, to have information that would be needed or accessed later.
Creating different accounts is already necessary to keep the profile hunters away ("Oh, you're a part of that community?"). This wouldn't be necessary if you could lock out blocked users from your account.
Platforms like Facebook are indeed the only ones where you can put in as much data as you want, with all of it linked to one account. This is how they make money with.
