Herons in a tree

Cool. I see herons in the river almost daily, yet I've never considered them as perching. I'll have to look upwards more often! Thanks!

I thought I was crazy seeing a juvinile heron up a tree last spring...

They make their nests in trees too!! Amazing to see the roost!!
