Vivaldi browser makes an official statement against adding AI functionality to their browser

Good guy Vivaldi.

A recent study by PewResearch found users clicked traditional results roughly half as often when AI summaries appeared. Publishers warn of dramatic traffic losses when AI overviews sit above links.

This is a major point that can't be understated.

And it's pretty ironic how a company like Google tells users they can't circumvent anything that prevents them from generating revenue, and yet that's exactly what they're doing to websites when they divert traffic away from those sites using their own little AI summary bullshit.
