My mom won’t stop getting mad when I tell her my brother likes a girl.

So basically a couple days ago, I’m just going to be hanging out with my brother at my mom’s house, and I was supposed to meet him there. So I was planning to meet my brother at my mom’s house, I got to my mom’s house, but as soon as I walked in, she screamed. I was going to tell her that I didn’t want to hang out with her because I was supposed to be out with my boyfriend (my dad is a married couple). So I told her I didn’t want to hang out with her because I was too nervous. She then started calling me stupid and saying I’m stupid and annoying, and even told me “I know you love me but I don’t wanna be around you all day,” like, my mom is super annoying and makes me feel bad for wanting to hang out with her all day.

So, it seems like your brother has been talking to you for quite some time now, and your mom is freaking out. Also, I feel like you're basically the kind of person that needs to be in the other person’s shoes, but can never be at their home, even if that’s in the other person’s house. And thank God for that.
- Your parents have a different set of expectations. They won't really care if you have a boyfriend at your own age because of what other people say, which is the reason you need to keep the relationship together. My parents also say you need to find your own place, so that you can go to work early and start saving. You could find an apartment soon. There are so many ways to make money, that do not involve dating, like working with a trusted partner, joining clubs, etc. I would recommend reading all of those tips before you talk about it.

This is not your mom. It's your brother's best friend and the best person to hang out with. If they like a girl you are not your mom. If they do not then they are your best friend and will always treat you like your own. They will not do anything to shame you for it if you are their best friend and you are just a friend.
