A lot of people seem to have gotten hung up on the grammar of the words in this sentence. I think it is just one of those words that have become part of their everyday vocabulary and what they seem to be saying is, "I am" and "I am" not something that they are saying. It does seem like a good use of a common phrase that can be used across many different contexts but not to just be used as a catchphrase. It is better to think about it as something that can be said and then repeated often.
It's so funny. I know it's an overused word.
