ai coder make and use Perchance Lists
on the generators page a while ago i had cause to explain my perspective on how to approach Views healthily.
"also adding to or refining your gen some every day is a healthy pattern and how to, as a person, be someone who creates great things. it doesnt matter how big or small as long as its an improvement. because that adds gen to Recent, it then results in views. i think its healthy not to focus on getting views but to develop a reliable pattern of improvement and then be passively pleased when views notably rise, as this signifies you are sticking with and improving your project, which is a trait that will help you forever"
sounds healthy enough. regularly improve ones gen and views naturally rise. was just thinking tho, the ai coding sort of throws a wrench in the gears of 'pattern of constant improvement'. I see alot of ai-created image gens, some of which are very fancy. But they are often in code beyond the scope of the creator's coding proficiency. So they are basically static things that can't be purposely edited, in person, by their creator. I compare this to how on beautifulpeople I today made slight edits to my Fey style so prompts come out slightly differently. ai-created image gens have a much harder time doing something like that. On beautifulpeople, after making my Fey edits, I saved my gen knowing i had made an improvement and that saving it had also refreshed it to the top of recent gens. So everything felt good and positive feedback of views aligned correctly with me having improved my gen. ai-created image gens that can't be purposely detail edited like that miss that. If someone makes an ai gen and wants it getting views each day, they basically have to 'play the system' by adding a space to a line or some other meaningless edit or ask the ai to change an aspect of how it functions.
It doesn't have to be like that. If you can get the coding ai making Perchance Lists and using them intelligently, that will open the door to makers of ai gens purposely editing details of their gens, which, in itself is a crucial upgrade for a section of the population. And secondarily it enables makers of ai gens to legitly cultivate their gens over time and transition from 'playing the system' with meaningless edits to 'meaningful improvements which result in views each time they happen'. thus changing ai gens from static things to potentially evergrowing and personally editable things.
thank you for listening
