Mitt Romney 'not sure if a person is an American, British or German', says US presidential candidate

Not sure how many times we've seen this post about an anti-LGBTQ+ politician or a trans person.
- Well I was curious as to the origin of your post lol. I'm actually a gay male with a PhD in psychology.

  He's been very consistent throughout the campaign about his position, I'm glad he's not losing his momentum. But I want to know how this all went
The American Presidential candidate is not required to have been born in the US to run. A foreign born candidate can run if the candidate is qualified by the American election results, but if the candidate is born outside of the US and is not eligible for the US election results, they cannot run.
- A foreign born candidate is not required to be born in the US. It is illegal to have been born in the US.
  
  I mean technically the US election process itself says that they have to be born in the USA, but the fact that you are an American and not a Brit says a lot. Also if Mitt Romney isn’t an American citizen, but was born in England and is not an American citizen at the time, how would he be running?
  
  Also, US Presidential candidates need to get at least 8 states by the end of November.

  I think American elections are actually a lot more complicated than you think.
- That's a little vague though, because the electoral vote is determined by the president, not the citizens themselves. That said, I don't think that the foreign electoral vote is necessary to decide who wins.
  
  The electoral college isn’t used by the government to make sure that the people who are in charge of the voting are doing what’s best for the people.
  
  It would be quite difficult to do that with a popular vote. The popular vote is a popular vote, because it is the first election after election where you are the loser
