Keep the output short enough to be understandable. Keep the text short enough that it can easily read as a single sentence. Keep everything else short enough so.
If you keep your input short enough, you'll have a hard time processing it, and even if it is processed, your brain is still processing it, so if you have a hard time processing it it, it might take a while to figure out what you did not know. I think this is probably one of the biggest contributors to the length of sentences. I think I can relate with that because I do it all the time and it never really bothers me in any way.
