YouTuber Mark Rober is getting a Netflix series

Looking at the comments on the article, I get why people are so anti-influencer. I would argue that Mark Rober is one of the "good guys" who doesn't seem to entertain the bad side of influencer culture, but instead has some incredibly entertaining yet educational videos.

My Netflix has been a steady stream of serial killer/murder documentaries - to the point where I barely visit Netflix any more as it gets far too depressing. Stuff like this I feel would make a real splash in making Netflix watchable, and I think if Netflix (as well as streaming companies) can fetch interesting content creators from YouTube, then that could mean the start of a viable, interesting streaming service that really competes with the firehose of crap that is YouTube.

So much of the content there is just reactionary content of stupid drama either in person or online that I would prefer a bit of a controlled oasis to the online drama stream that is YouTube.
