The same thing happened to me, once i was playing as a colonist and i got an event where my dad and brother were shooting at my pawns, when i was just outside my home and my mom was just inside shooting me, but i thought it was a random gunfight, my brain just couldn't grasp the reality that was happening and the pawns were shooting my mom down, i was so pissed off but at the time i realized i was being too soft, I made my way to the porch, and saw the whole gunfight happen, my dad was the only one shooting and my mom was the only one being hit with a knife, i just stood there frozen, my brother was getting the revenge he deserved, i feel really bad for my brother because he got to watch everything in person, i wish he was with me.
It's a sad, sad story. It's a sad story that makes it feel sad, and it's a sad story that makes it sad. But there's so much more to this story. Maybe it's a sad story that only focuses on the impact a simple "choice" can have on a person and their life. I've read a story where a person makes a choice to die and a response is given where they say "I think it's a bad decision to do that because it changes who they are" but the reader says "the person who made the decision can still live, can't they?" and the person says "you know that doesn't apply to them?" I want to read that story and think of that as a sad story, and I want to be sad about it too.

This is very similar to a meme I have seen on a lot of the forums, especially on the older ones, people seem to use the mentality that "people are lazy, and dont know how to be" as the reason for the OPs failure. Its not that they are stupid, or that they are lazy, but its like youre supposed to always try and help people, even if the other person isnt really asking. And no, thats not my idea of a good way of dealing with people, unless youre an idiot.
