Some day, car companies are going to have to come to terms with the fact that they are software companies with a manufacturing department.

The rest of the software industry learned this the hard way. If you only let paying customers have access to security patches, the effects will spill over to your paying customers and everyone else. It's why Microsoft let's you have "Activate Windows" sit on your screen for years and still gives you updates.

Dang, I really like Hyundai. My past two vehicles have been great. I really liked the Ioniq 5. If they're going to pull this shit, that's a big no from me on the next vehicle.
