Was the 'Burgundy Code' the name given to a region that was not part of the former Roman Empire (i.e. Belgium) in the 15th century, or is it more recent?

I am a member of the former Roman Empire and I'm familiar with the concept of the Burgundy Code. The 'Burgundy Code' has existed for a long time. It was named in 1489, in 1499, and again in 1521.

Did you know, when you say 'Burgundy code' it means "It is". I am referring to a region in Africa and I don't even have the concept of it.

It was the Burgundycode for the area in question, but the name came into use after the initial conquest by the Germans. It was used for the region that was part of the Roman Empire, which at the time was mostly under the rule of the Germanic conquerors.

This was correct, and I still have not read the book that cites the author.

Burgundy is a region in the French language, not a French language region.
