I mean, whatever. They shouldn’t suffer this bullshit. It’s futile. The fight is no longer theirs, they’ve done the job of raising awareness. The fight now belongs to Hochul, Newsom, Pritzker, and others.
I hope they vote for relief then jump out a window like Lincoln did to avoid a quorum. Could be funny.
- How many of our representatives A. Could fit through such a window, and B. Are in physical shape to do so?
So.. Texas senate forced it through without a house vote? Is that what happened here?
- My read on it is that some collaborator douchebags in the party tried to force their bullshit ideas on the rest of the party by telling the media it was bound to happen but then they just got contradicted by a public statement from their leadership.
  After our initial reporting online and on television, a spokesperson for the Texas Democratic Caucus sent the following statement to ABC News:
  "Members are still assessing their strategies going forward and are in a private meeting to make decisions about future plans currently," he wrote. "If and when Texas House Democrats breaking quorum decide to go home is squarely dependent on the actions the Governor, Speaker, and Texas Republicans in charge make with regard to prioritizing flood victims over redistricting that hurts Texans."
  Honestly not sure how they can justify keeping that headline with this additional information
- Seems like it? I'm confused as to what the point of their house is if their senate can just to it instead.

  They can’t it works like the us congress. We’re backwards here but not that bad….yet.
  Not too familiar with the rest of the legislature rules but I would assume that if there is no quorum at the end of the session, the process starts over when a lot calls a new one
