Mozilla under fire for Firefox AI "bloat" that blows up CPU and drains battery

Well this is just the nature of a product market. You see, producers make a product, and when it doesn’t work very well or even at all, they release it to the market. And when the market finds no use for the product, producers begin to stuff the product in every conceivable nook so that the market is necessarily forced to use the product.

And when the market responds angrily that they DON’T WANT THE GODDAMNED FUCKING PRODUCT FOR FUCK’S SAKE the producers then find even more ways to glom the product in to existing successful products to ensure the market saturation of the product people don’t want.

It’s Econ 101, really. Supply and Supply.

Just because they're successful at not being Chrome doesn't mean they get a pass.

This won't stop until every last one of us is wiping our asses with AI powered toilet paper.

Mozilla is far from immune to "AI makes line go up".

Firefox on my old laptop shit the bed after the last update... seriously it used to be 2-5% cpu usage when idle and now it's like 40% and it is fucking slow... this laptop has had arch on it for almost 10 years and has been smooth sailing until this last Firefox update. Makes me sad. I like Firefox but if they keep the enshitification up, I'll have to switch to something else
