What's something that makes you instantly like someone?

When they're nice to people they don't have to be. There's no benefit to doing it, they're just doing it for the right reasons

Just being nice. I remember a couple of times seeing people give up their seat for people on a train and just instantly liking them.

When somebody matches my humour and general outlook on life, typical british style with a dose of self deprecation and sarcasm on otherwise serious topics.

If we're going somewhere and you stop to give a homeless person cash/food. Just giving without 'judging' nor thinking about it twice. And people who try to 'intellectually' justify their lack of charitableness are just telling on themselves!

There's virtues I admire. Like when people can do things that I can't.

However, kindness is the one that make me like them the most though. Opening a door. Helping someone with dropped items. Showing a lost stranger the way.
