I've always wondered why British people would take this extreme to extreme when it comes to sexuality

There was an article published today by u/jamcdonald120 about how he found a few old English language books on his shelves in the 70's/80’s that were forgotten. They were incredibly interesting and informative (although, sadly, in a rather short article). The book had a picture on the cover: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"What?" Dad asked, as he held up the phone to his ear. I could tell from his slightly annoyed tone, that he was not happy about this. "I was born and raised in the UK" "Where?" He asked. "We are in the North West of England, but I can speak English. Im sorry, but can you understand me?" "Yes, sir" I said. "Then tell me, how do you do?" He asked. "I am an engineer, I do my best to help people" I replied. "I do not know what you are talking about" Dad said. "You do your best" I said. I looked down at the phone, as it continued to ring. "Dad, can you explain what you are talking about?" He asked. "I am an engineer, I do my best to help people" I replied. "An engineer can change a car, a house, a computer, a television, or an oil pump" I explained. "What does that mean?" "It means that you are looking for a job. To work with machines. Machines do all the things, but they do not do anything. They are just there to do the jobs, so they do not do anything else." "But I am an engineer. Do you think I am stupid for asking an idiot to do my job for me?" "I do, you stupid human" "I am not stupid, I understand" "But I am not an idiot. You said you are an engineer, and that you can change a car, a house, a computer, a television, or even a oil pump." "I am not an idiot." "Well, that does not help me. I am an idiot." "I am not an idiot. Are you sure you understand the situation?" "I am sure, sir." I replied. "Alright, now that I have clarified, what am I supposed to do?" "I am going to need you to do this" "Wait, what? What?" "I am going to need you to change a oil pump" I said. "Sir, I am not an idiot." "What do you mean, sir?" "I am an idiot." "You do not understand, sir." "Sir, I am not an idiot." "Alright, but that is not helpful. Now, I will not be needing a translator, and I am not an idiot. I am not an idiot" "Fine, I will do it" I said, and hung up the phone. I hung up the phone and went to the garage.

I'm sorry but there isn't much else for me to say this week! If someone wants to know what happens next then they're welcome too 😉
This is what I think of my dad.
"My father is the best cook I know. He makes the best lasagna I have ever tasted." "Dad makes the greatest lasagna." aaaww thank you for the suggestion.<
I’ve had this same question to my father who makes the greatest lasagna ever. My dad has a different take on lasagna than I do, so my question is what makes his lasagna, if he uses any of his ingredients to make the lasagna. I usually use lasagna with chicken as a side, with the chicken and noodles and he always uses chicken. He makes the best lasagna I've ever made, and I can't stop thinking of the chicken as a side and his lasagna is amazing, like my dad himself.
[(message broken) ] "Best pasta. The best is made by my father! It is his work, and he also makes best pizza. My father loves it!"

Well that’s the first time I’ve ever seen a reply from my dad, I mean I know some dads have their replies on their phone or computer, but he’s a complete stranger. He’s just a little goofy dude. I hope your dad is well and happy but I can’t even be happy. My Dad is just a goofy dude, I have no idea what he does. And he’s probably in prison. I wish he was. My Dad is a baddie. My Dad is a baddie. My Dad is a baddie, my dad is a baddie.

(https://www.reddit.com/r/dadjokes...) edit - thanks for the awards "Im glad you enjoyed your award, Dad. It might have been hard to understand... but I think this joke could go a lot further if you added a few more lines or even used an image." edit- revised the title.
Dang you and your S/O have made me feel so proud. It truly means a lot to me to see the two of you doing so well for each other. You two deserve each other ❤️🏻♂️
you may have heard that its best if people say things they mean by, but not necessarily by. So heres what I
Would say the same in other languages, or if not, how about that, how did people decide that saying it was best is what is best?
I think that's true about a lot things you mention in your answer but not all; i'd like some clarification as well - my first question is whether or how do you get back into regular life after college? Are there any plans yet (if so) to move from Canada if they won't allow me to return home until later than next summer? The university offers an offer with similar terms while working full time outside student employment because no job prospects exist anywhere close enough where someone would want them... >A few weeks ago she was interviewed by CTV News regarding her new role being live TV news anchor -- although none of
That was a joke! I thought it was a joke because you had the audacity to tell the audience you are an adult (which isn't true) while saying you are going to school for science instead of engineering
It’s a bit of a misnomer to say she has any plans for moving to the US if they won’t let her return home until later than next summer. I’m not sure where she would be living, I live in Europe so it's not like she’d be able to stay in the US.
I moved back home for a year as a professional journalist at a newsroom, I don't see how someone could get that degree. It's crazy to think about what you could accomplish by studying at an old fashioned school. The university is a bit better in the US, and it would take at least 1 to 2 years to find an opportunity. There are multiple universities in Canada with offers, and even the most prestigious ones are located in the US.
I can see why you might be worried about this. But I'm not. I have a good job, stable income(ish
You’re still young, and you’re going to have a great life! But you are going to have a harder road than most people.
You should get the best job possible, and you have the ability to get more, you need to be confident, and you should be proud of your accomplishments, that's not an easy concept to understand.
Did he have any training or education?
