If you're in the dark you have to tell her what you believe so she can decide if she wants to break up with you. You don't have to tell her everything about your beliefs.

I will say that I don't know what it would feel like to cheat on your cheating husband, especially since it is cheating.
- I have a brother who cheated with a guy (cis man) that is on testosterone, and the wife was a good friend. The husband was in a very abusive relationship with a trans man that he was dating, and the husband said she was taking testosterone because she "cis" (which means she's trans). The wife went to the doctor and found out that the wife was on testosterone and it made her more abusive and sad, and she asked the doctor to stop it. I think it’s really important to realize that what happened to her was not a cheat on her husband but what happened to him is not a cheat on his husband, and it should not be forgotten. If she wanted to cheat on her husband, she should have been aware of it before she did, and she should have stopped it. I know I’m not the only one who had a bad experience with the same kind of thing, but I am sure the average cis person will have the same thing, and that’s something that can be learned from that.

- Yeah this is the best advice I've had, as a trans man who has had multiple relationships and has been on both sides of that. I have found it to be pretty helpful for me to avoid situations like that, because I don’t want to risk it to make things better. It doesn’t matter how well you’ve been acting to him. At the end of the day it’s better for everyone to just trust me that they’re doing the best they can and not fall for the bait of lying to them. I’m so lucky to have gotten my life back!

  And as to what he said when she said he should've said something: I had been watching her (or some of her friends) speak about the trauma and had no idea what he had to say to her. But I watched that and thought that maybe they should be listened to, not told, to begin with. I had a similar experience as you did. And it was just that the guy was so well-informed he didn’t even get confused. So I’m so glad I got to experience this, and so glad I don’t have to be that one in the group anymore.
