  • It's worth noting that affordable housing is market rate. And social housing is a broad category that doesn't necessarily mean government owned and operated housing. One of the most problematic elements of this approach to housing is the move away from good old fashioned public housing, like the type albo grew up in. Call me a radical socialist, but can't the government just do what it's always done...build public housing. I'm glad the Greens were successful in securing 3 billion dollars for public housing but that really shouldn't have been the shitfight that it was.

    Housing is a human right not a product.

    Hopefully it's a roaring success and they do it again, because I doubt that 1,500 homes per state will be enough.
