ELI5 Why is it that when the universe expands, we see galaxies far away, but when they close, they all look like they're in the same place?
So, we’ve got the problem of how to explain the dark energy. It was discovered by the particle accelerator that, by accelerating the universe, it creates an almost infinite number of parallel universes, which basically allows for us to "see" them from the other side of the universe. As far as we know, this also works on subparticles, but what makes it so weird is that we’re only ever one particle away, and so it's possible that we see our own Universe from a different point of time. This has been tested to work. In our Universe, we’re always looking for the next particle to collapse into a single point, and this is where our Universe was discovered. It was just a coincidence. So, we went back and forth, creating as many particle pairs as possible and looking for the next one. This led to many more coincidences, and eventually, we found our own Universe in the process of collapsing. This was a mind-boggling process, and so we came up with a new theory, which said that all matter and energy in our Universe are just subparticles of one another, which we can all relate to.

edit - this is a great thread about intelligent design and how our world evolves around us (and sometimes even around intelligent life itself)\xa0and of late I have found myself in a kind of rich groove of conversation around it, with more people coming to understand the concept and its applications, and more creation stories being told and retold, some very old (but still amazing) stories that really struck a chord with me as an old dad.\xa1

So one question came up yesterday while writing my thesis for school; The Universe did not grow outta nothing or into none at all until billions upon trillions were born... So you might be wondering what actually happened after just over 10 trillion years where things are today because there's always been universes growing ever-more complex every single second.... In other words.. That "if" theory was never true ! Yes!!! Of course ALL time before man lived he didn't experience anything new!! If humans existed then yes THEY created them !! Even if everything has evolved since MAN arrived THEN WHY DIDN'T HE CREATE EVERYTHING WITHIN THE UNIVERSE?? Or could someone explain why evolution happens instead by saying "...he who creates must die". How do i prove God isn´t perfect ? Doesnt matter either way ITS NOT HIS FAULT :)--) Reply

So I was wondering why does your galaxy seem "close" more than others of yours while everyone other is at least 10 light years distant. This post isnt about the theory, just the actual cosmology. Thats whats important, its about science rather than just how the universe works
