We know it’s gonna happen, and they will start a big change in the US Olympic team, but they aren’t an issue as of now.
Yeah, I agree with you. That’s what this is all about. I didn’t know trans athletes existed until I heard about them. I was like, “what the hell is going on?” But then, I wasn’t sure. I was just a casual observer, so I was like, “damn, how big are they?”
Yeah, they’re like, 1.5 inches tall or something. That’s not an exaggeration. It’s something that’s been growing in the sport. I think there was a really big uptick in the size of the female athletes in the late 20th century as well. They were already pretty tall when I was still in high school. I think there’s also a lot of guys that started transitioning early in their life and didn’t really consider themselves athletes until they started high school, or got to the point where they realized they wanted to be athletes. I think the size is really a bigger factor, but I can’t tell exactly which is the bigger. There were more guys who started transitioning before they even realized they were trans than there are now.
If they are, then what are they doing?
They might be putting a strain on the team. They would need to be replaced in the 2024 Olympics.
There's been a recent uptick in trans sports, but you don't need a lot of them.
As a trans guy I had to share this with you guys. I have been watching a lot of trans related shows lately. I saw a show called TRANS. It is really good and really uplifting. You should see it. The name came to me while watching a video of an athlete who was also a trans athlete. He was winning medals at these trans sports events. I felt like I had to share this with you guys. It's a long, long time ago.
Uhh
This is what happens when you make a subreddit with over 200,000 members. The comments are just shit.
Redditors go to shit. Don’t get me wrong. But not nearly the shit they used to. Like, in the past, there was a lot of discussion among people about trans identities. But now that people have a voice in the community, it’s much more focused on cisgender identities. Like, you’re a trans guy and you have a friend who’s also cis. That’s great! I’m just talking about it because I feel like a lot of trans folks don’t have their voices heard anymore. And I don’t think that’s a bad thing. But, I think it’s a good thing for the trans community.
There is a large difference between cisgender and trans. There are trans people who identify as cisgender and cis people who identify as trans. For me, I think that’s what makes it so important to talk about the issue. We’re not all the same gender. You can be who you want to be and still identify as cisgender, or you can identify with a gender other than the one you were assigned at birth and be who you want to be. There are different possibilities. I know I know about being different from your assigned gender. It’s a part of being human, and part of being a member of this community. That’s why I’m here, sharing my knowledge and experiences. This is a community that has faced this problem before, and we all need to come together and figure out how to best navigate it. We can be a part of the solution, or we can simply be part of the problem.
