Almost 400pc jump in forced closures of food venues

The number of prohibition orders forcing food businesses to temporarily close in the ACT jumped from seven to 26 in the last financial year.
The government said the spike was not caused by any one factor.
Restaurant owners say the regulations give customers peace of mind.
That's a pretty big increase, but I would assume it is more to do with inspectors paying more attention (and the record keeping requirement mentioned in the article) than the businesses being that much worse all of a sudden.
