The time I was so confused about something

I am in a different country than you. You know how in America when you ask someone to show you the bathroom, it tells you which room they are in, how they are holding the door or how they are doing it. When I was in Japan I asked the person to show me the bathroom, and they said no. I asked them how, but they said something about the water. I asked them which bathroom they were in, and they said the hot one. And then I asked them to show me what was happening in the bathroom. They said nothing about the bathroom, they just told me to wait while I went in the bathroom.
